Officers are empowered to engage with community members and undertake actions to resolve troublesome conditions.  Our officers are encouraged to consult with resident stakeholders in reolving problems because police can rarely solve public safety problems alone.  The Richland Police Department is committed to transparency and to treating all residents and visitors with respect and dignity.  We hold our officers to the highest standards and ensure excellence.
